Friends of Heritage neighborhood vision workshop, Sunday Oct 1

Take a moment and imagine what Heritage would be like in your ideal world. Corridor streets with wide sidewalks lined by retail with residences above? An interior with tree-shaded sidewalks and a mix of housing types? Light rail and protected bike lanes? Something completely different?

Friends of Heritage will hold a neighborhood vision workshop on Sunday October 1 from 3-5 pm to facilitate a discussion on what we want the Heritage neighborhood to look like as Austin grows.

This will not be a static seated meeting. Kara Kotwas of the IBM Design studio will lead an interactive workshop to help us articulate a shared vision. The results of this meeting will guide resolutions that Friends of Heritage will vote on and then share with the city. It may also lead to other initiatives, such as tree-planting or working to complete our sidewalk network.
